Shadow
Build |
1024 |
Version |
4.2 |
The shadow command renders a shadow for an object.
Usage
shadow [name] flag [global]
name
The optional name argument specifies the name of the object with will receive the shadow or the shadow will be removed. Object names are assigned via the name command. If omitted, the shadow command applies to this object.
flag
The flag boolean argument is required and specifies whether the shadow is rendered or not.
global
The optional global argument will cause triggers to initiate the command for all users have the object in view. Without it, the command will be triggered exclusively for the user who activates the trigger (bump, activate, adone). By default, commands are not global.
Examples
create shadow
This creates a shadown on an object.
Object #1: create name sObj Object #2: bump shadow sObj on
This creates an object which when bumped renders a shadow for all object named "sObj" built by the same owner nearby.
Notes
- Visibility and quality of rendered shadows are subject to the user's respective Enable Avatar Shaodws and Shadow Quality settings in the browser's performance Settings.
- Shadows are rendered using a fast technique that is not suitable for shadowing large builds or complex environments. Instead, shadows should be used to accent an environment.
